On the slopes of Devil’s Peak, this charming guesthouse offers a tranquil garden with a seasonal pool. Built in 1901, Carmichael is a well restored example of Victorian Cape architecture. Fitted with elegant wooden floors, all rooms are equipped with satellite TV and a minibar. Each comes with a work desk and a private bathroom. Tea/coffee makers are provided. Guests can enjoy a cup of tea in the Carmichael’s lounge with its original Victorian fireplace. A full English breakfast and continental buffet are served in the sunny bistro. Picnic baskets and light lunches are available on request. Carmichael Guesthouse is situated below Rhodes Memorial in Rosebank. The commercial centres of Rondebosch and Claremont are a few km away. Cape Town International Airport is 15 minutes’ drive away.
