Here you can see the one and only gorillas in Austria. Stand face to face with giraffes that are 6 meters high and dont't miss the huge tropical house. In this zoo you will also find the biggest raptor reserve in the world. Experience vultures with a wingspan of more then 3 meters without any fence between you and the animal. - Salzkammergut region south of Wels. Visit the Traunsee (lake) and the town of Gmunden, famous for its pottery, Schloss Orth (castle), and embark on a tour on the paddlesteamer. Discover the City of Bad Ischl with its Kaiservilla (Villa of the Emperor), taste delicious pastry in the Konditorei Zauner and explore the Stadtmuseum (city museum). In the Ausseer Land region tradition is still alive and can be experienced at every step in Bad Aussee, Altaussee and at the Grundlsee where the Narzissenfest (daffodils festival) takes place. Last but definitely not least the UNESCO-protected region around the Hallstätter Lake and the salt mine in the picturesque ancient city of Hallstatt is worth a visit.

Today’s "Gösserbräu" seats about 300 people in its cosy snuggeries and rooms inside the building, and more than 650 people outdoors in its great beer garden. During the renovation of the building, great importance was attached to maintaining style and tradition. As a result the "Gösser" is a prime example of modern gastronomical culture. The outdoor restaurant, which is considered one of the most beautiful in Austria, is an important reason for its excellent reputation. The benches under the imposing chestnut trees are not only a popular meeting place, but seem to be almost a social obligation on warm summer evenings. Anyone who has ever quenched one’s thirst with a professionally tapped beer (we have 6 different kinds of beer) will not want to do without it anymore. The kitchen at the "Gösser" is another highlight. The menu offers high-quality dishes for every taste. For bigger groups a special, traditional dish, called "Bratl in der Rein", will be prepared. Specially balanced and healthy nutrition is also served here. Organic food is part of the menu, as are vegetarian dishes. Besides, a special “Heuriger” buffet with warm and cold delicacies provides great variety.

All rooms were individually furnished by the owners themselves. All double and single rooms are uniquely decorated and very comfortable. The landscape watercolours create a personal and cosy atmosphere. Exquisite materials and carefully chosen decors make you feel good all over. Beautiful marble tiles in the spacious bathrooms turn ordinary wet rooms into places of pleasure.
